The event Ostrava was held during Fire Protection 2022 conference in the same university areal. This planning assured presence of people interested in fire safety and fire protection issues. Ostrava is an industrial city so participants from industry were also attracted as well as education providers as organizer was VSB-Technical University of Ostrava where also Faculty of Safety Engineering is located. The event followed up on updated module work with comments from previous MEs and thus provided local experts in fire protection with the latest information about the project progress and most importantly about the individual modules as part of the intellectual output O1. People were gathered together mostly in person, only few were connected online as this was already second event. The environment on the ME was very positive and speakers got feedbacks on their work on the modules. For this event, also external speakers from Hungary were invited…

In the middle of the Summer of 2022, on August 11th, an interesting event for the fire safety community took place in the large lecture hall of the Education Centre for Protection and Rescue, on the premises of Slovenian Ministry of Defence, located in the village Ig near Ljubljana. The Slovenian Fire Protection Association (SZPV) and the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute (ZAG) organized a seminar with an eloquent title: Fire takes no vacation. Over 80 people attended the event despite the high vacation season. What was the attraction? Probably the two main speakers – prof. dr. José Torero (University College London) and prof. dr. Grunde Jomaas (FRISSBE ERA Chair Holder, ZAG and University of Primorska) – as well as the presentation by Friderik Knez (ZAG) of the capacities of new fire laboratory of ZAG, which will have its official opening on September 2nd. The multiplier event held in Prague was necessary to provide local experts in fire protection with the latest information about the project progress and most importantly about the individual modules as part of the intellectual output O1. People were gathered together in person or online (due to health or work limitations) and they had possibility to interact between each other as they came from various organisations as well as with international guests. All the speakers at the event were talking deeply focused on their own module but they managed to connect it with others. This was very valuable for their carriers as can be seen from the feedbacks. The event also helped to serve latest news to the audience such as modern technical methods, or challenges in teaching.   The event granted official support of Czech chambre of authorised engineers.

The presentation of the Online Learning Platform for Fire Expert Trainers, which is in the ongoing process of development, took place at University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering on Friday, 22nd of April 2022, almost one year later than planned initially. Initial time plans were changed fundamentally because of COVID-19. Nevertheless, the event has been organized, with over 60 participants present in person and up to 16 additional participants connected online. All 8 modules were presented. Prof. dr. Grunde Jomaas started with presentation of approach to fire risk assessment (Module 1), currently very interesting subject especially for Slovenian audience because of the new regulation on this particular field. Other modules were presented by Marija Jelčić Rukavina, Tomaž Hozjan, Kamila Kempna, Jan Smolka, Anita Ogrin, Antonia Tarle, Maksim Carević and Milan Hajduković. There was some quality debate regarding each presented topic. Most participants shared their opinions and answered…
